We offer many important services!
THE NEWEST, IMPROVED RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS NOW AVAILABLE, TOO!
Routine Vaccinations & Some Common Services Offered:
A county license is required by law and must be renewed every year along with the rabies vaccination. You can get your license and county tag right in our office! No need to mail any forms or go to the animal services office. It couldn't be easier!
Dentistry work is also performed during the week by appointment. We offer preventive dental care which is a routine cleaning, scaling, and polishing of the teeth. We use the safest anethesia and your pet is only anethestitized for a short period of time. Healthy teeth and gums is just as important for your pet as it is for us humans. It not only improves breath and whitens the teeth, but it helps prevent other health problems bad teeth can cause; such as in the liver or kidneys.
Spays and Neuters are performed often in our hospital. This is an essential part of keeping your pet healthier, more attentive to your commands, prevents the on-going pet overpopulation problem, and dogs and cats are less likely to roam away. The county tags are cheaper, too!
Examinations are given when your pet is visiting for vaccinations, semi-yearly Heartworm Test, or visiting due to illness.
Surgery is performed when necessary. This is a case by case evaluation. Dr. Harvey always provides his most professional advice and all possible options to bring your pet back to health.
Boarding Kennel Services are available all year long. We provide a clean, indoor, air-conditioned/heated environment for your pets' stay. You are welcome to bring a favorite toy or blanket, and special food if you wish. We will provide food, water, walks for dogs, and dispense medications your pet may currently be taking. Helpful Hint: It is recommended to call us as soon as your plans are set if around a major holiday to assure a spot.
Hurricane Sheltering is available on a first come first serve basis. Please call ahead for space availability. If we do not have available space left, we can offer you other shelters upon the list to call.
Baths & Dips are given the day your pet leaves our kennel, by morning appointments, or when medically necessary. Your pet will always come home to you clean and flea/tick free!
Microchips: We encourage pet owners to take advantage of microchips for all pets. This safe, non-removable microchip is as easy as a simple appointment and takes only a few minutes. We recommend the Avid Microchip for a permanent identification of your pet in case he or she is ever separated from you for any reason. It is also highly recommended for recovery in case of hurricanes and/or other weather disasters, lost pets, disputed ownership, in case a collar with tag is removed, etc.
Occasionally, we have puppies or kittens available for adoption. Upon approval, we may adopt out a pet. This isn't a usual practice of ours, however, we do sometimes have adoptable pets available. We do have a bulletin board in the reception area for lost pets, pets up for adoption, & those looking to adopt. Please note: we do not screen postings nor take responsibility for any actions regarding these postings.
